A series of miniatures based on some of the most iconic characters in The Witcher has been released for the series' tie-in tabletop role-playing game.
The Witcher Role-Playing Game, the tabletop RPG inspired by CD Projekt Red's popular video game series (in turn inspired by Andrzej Sapkowski's beloved series of fantasy novels, also called The Witcher), is getting a handful of new miniatures inspired by some of the series' most iconic characters.
Polygon's Charlie Hall recently snapped some pictures of the new miniatures, which were shown off at Gen Con 2022, a tabletop gaming convention. The new line of figures, produced by Monster Fight Club, includes series protagonist Geralt of Rivia, his long-time love interest Yennefer of Vengerberg and his closest companion, the bard Dandelion.

In addition to some of the most popular characters in the franchise, Monster Fight Club also manufactured a handful of more generic figurines for the Craftsman, Man-at-Arms and Mage classes. Outside of the heroes, players can also get their hands on miniatures based on a variety of different Witcher universe monsters, including Drowners, Ghouls and Grave Hags.
The Witcher Role-Playing Game's figures are based on the characters as they appear in CD Projekt Red's The Witcher video games, and specifically as they appear in The Witcher 3. That's why "Dandelion" is called "Dandelion" and not Jaskier, the name his character was given in the more recent Netflix adaptation of the novels. It's also why Geralt looks a bit more like his in-game counterpart than Henry Cavill.

The entire Witcher Role-Playing Game line is unrelated to any permutation of The Witcher outside of the video games. It is a collaboration between CD Projekt Red and R. Talsorian Games. The two companies already have a fairly stable working relationship, given that one of CD Projekt Red's largest games, Cyberpunk 2077, is directly inspired by R. Talsorian Games' Cyberpunk tabletop series, and R. Talsorian Games launched a reboot of the series to coincide with the video game's release. The Witcher Role-Playing Game is actually co-designed by Cyberpunk creator Mike Pondsmith and his son Cody. The younger Pondsmith says he's made a point of avoiding Netflix's The Witcher in the interest of ensuring that it doesn't accidentally influence any elements of the tabletop RPG.
Monster Fight Club's The Witcher Role-Playing Game miniatures can be purchased in five packs of three from the company's website. One pack contains Geralt, Yennefer and Dandelion, another holds the three character classes, and the remaining three each offer a different set of Witcher monsters.
