High Schools: Niskayuna boys' tennis wins, Shen shuts out BHBL – The Daily Gazette

HIGH SCHOOLS – Niskayuna topped Averill Park 7-2 in Suburban Council boys’ tennis on the strength of singles wins by Jeremy Burstyn, Syed Saeed, Vivek Lanka, Joseph Ltaif and Vin-Sang Ben Tran. Lanka didn’t lose a game in his match. The Niskayuna doubles teams of Mihir Kulkami/Patrich Connelly and Daniel Mun/Jacob Ciesinski won their respective matches.

Shenendehowa shut out Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake 9-0, as Alex Barletta, Advaith Ramani, Tony Liu, Andrew Hwang, Ribhav Mishra and Sanay Traishawala won singles matches for the Plainsmen..

The Shaker doubles team of Pranav Puviarasu and Pradham Rodda lost the first set, but came back to win in three sets, 2-6, 6-4, 6-1 in the Blue Bison’s 8-1 win over CBA. Michael Versaci won at second singles for CBA.

Albany topped Colonie 7-2, as the Falcons’ Masami Surisawa won in two sets without losing a game.

Bethlehem topped Troy 9-0 without losing a game in any of the matches.

Saratoga Springs also rolled to a 9-0 victory over Colonie, as Vincent Devito, Brandon Chartrand, Ian Hill, Ryan Clancy, Kevin Rosas and Toby Webber scored singles victories.

Albany Academy topped Ichabod Crane 6-1 in Colonial Council action. Ean Lantzy delivered Ichabod Crane’s lone victory at No. 1 singles, while Albany Academy received singles wins from Will Frasier, Owen O’Brien, Nick DeMarco and Arjun Nair.

In the Colonial Council, Mohonasen/Schenectady topped Cobleskill-Richmondville 6-1, as Josiah Spivey, Noah Spivey, Hasan Servile, Mohamed Shahabuddeen and Brian Schneider won singles matches for M/S.

Owen Young, Will Lamy, Liam Jones and Ryan Greenstein won singles matches for Queensbury in its 5-2 Foothills Council win over Scotia-Glenville. Shane McCone won the first singles match for the Tartans, 6-2, 6-2.

Schuylerville defeated Hudson Falls 6-1, as Grace Early, Samuel Renner, Chloe Bartholomew and Caiden Samuelson won eight-point sets for Schuylerville.

Justice Amos won his second singles match, 3-6, 7-5, 13-11 in the decisive match as Schoharie edged Schalmont 4-3 in a non-league match. Cole Contompasis won at first singles for Schalmont.
